Not Quite – Bird, fish or somewhere in between

Not Quite is a  cultural centre located in an old paper mill in Fengersfors. The beautiful brick buildings there are surrounded by forests and lakes with a magical shimmer. The movie based on Astrid Lindgren’s Ronja Rövardotter was actually recorded here in  the beginning of 1980.

Sofia Björkman and I got the opportunity to show our exhibition Bird, fish or somewhere in between here during the summer 2022. We were assigned “Svarta Hörnet”  (the black corner) and it was the perfect spot for creating a mysterious forest of jewellery.

On May 1st, 10 exhibitions opened at Not Quite. For example Zafira Vrba Woodski presented an installation with photographs, videos, sound and sculpture about State of Trans – being in and exploring transition in a curious, poetic and playful way, and in the show Konst + Ekonomi (Art + Economy) 5 artist were paired up with 5 economists to explore and try to understand art and economy. The result was both humorous, and thought-provoking.
