Baccalaureate 2007

During my baccalaureate I worked with rhythm and order, chaos, rules and patterns. The work is inspired by science and chaos theory.
In some of the pieces I have used a rythm or a pattern that I found interesting, and followed that given model quite strict. In other pieces I have relied solely on my own intuition.

Ali vs Patterson

The silver dots in the necklace has a pattern.
It is a time axis on which I have indicated each punch in a boxing match between
Muhammad Ali and Floyd Patterson. I thought i boxing match would make a nice pattern
since I think it has a good rhythm. The pattern is rebuilt as the dots themselves makes the
same pattern on the pearl thread, in a larger scale.

Structure

The dots are orginally marking the offshoots on a branch that I found in Vasaparken, but the elements building theese pieces turned out looking like atoms – like a hidden code – the structure of the branch.
